Sarival Water Reclamation Facility

Goodyear, AZ

The new facility will assist Liberty in providing additional reclaimed water for important uses, such as irrigation, which will offset and conserve millions of gallons of potable water for human consumption and domestic purposes.”

Nathan Owen, President, PERC Water Corporation

Liberty Utilities (Liberty) partnered with PERC Water to design and build the new Sarival Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) in Goodyear, Ariz. Once complete, the Sarival WRF will treat an average day flow capacity of 4.0 Million Gallon per Day (MGD) and will utilize a membrane bio-reactor (MBR) treatment process to meet Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Title 18 Class A+ requirements for unrestricted reuse.

The new facility will address increasing demand in Liberty’s service territory in Goodyear and Litchfield Park, as both cities have experienced significant residential and commercial growth over the past decade.

Design of the new WRF began in January 2022 and the Project broke ground in Summer 2022. The Facility is scheduled to begin operations in 2024. PERC Water previously completed the Palm Valley WRF for Liberty, which was completed in 2002 (DBO) and expanded in 2016 (CMAR).
